BYD June Sales Surpass 400,000 Units for the First Time

Key Developments: Overseas Share Exceeds 43% for the First Time, Domestic Sales Decline Year-over-Year

BYD’s exports reached 175,000 units, surging 95% year-over-year, with overseas sales accounting for over 43% of total volume for the first time. However, domestic sales dropped approximately 22% year-over-year to 228,000 units. Within its brand portfolio, Dynasty and Ocean series contributed 340,863 units, while Fangchengbao and Denza sold 35,607 units and 20,352 units, respectively. Yangwang recorded only 470 units.

Industry Impact: NIO, XPeng, and Li Auto Reorder in Rankings; Joint Ventures Remain Under Pressure

Among new energy vehicle startups, Leapmotor led with 93,000 units, while NIO, XPeng, and Li Auto all returned to the 40,000-unit tier; Li Auto temporarily fell behind due to a year-over-year decline. SAIC Motor reported total sales of 394,800 units, but its joint ventures SAIC Volkswagen and SAIC General Motors declined by 35.36% and 18.24%, respectively, while its self-owned brand SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle surged 82.51% year-over-year to 115,089 units.
