The new model eliminates the signature two-piece "split tailgate" and the seven-seat configuration, steering multi-passenger customers toward the larger X7. The China-made version may retain certain design differences—for example, flush door handles might not be introduced simultaneously.

Key Specifications: All-Electric iX5 Offers 845 km Range

The all-electric iX5 features a 141 kWh battery pack and an 800V high-voltage architecture, delivering a WLTP range of 845 kilometers. The plug-in hybrid M60e produces a combined output of 612 horsepower, while the gasoline variant uses the B58 3.0T engine rated at 400 horsepower. Curb weight increases to 2,800 kilograms due to the added battery mass.

Strategic Foundation: Emphasis on Technology Integration and Market Segmentation

The interior integrates a panoramic Vision Bar and head-up display (HUD), with the central touchscreen tilted 17.5 degrees toward the driver and a new passenger-side entertainment screen added. The chassis comes standard with a front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension setup; higher trims offer air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and an active roll stabilization system to reinforce the vehicle's dynamic driving character.
