AUMOVIO Sells Belgian Brake Plant to Dumarey Group as Part of Strategic Refocus

[Capacity Adjustment] AUMOVIO announced the sale of its brake systems plant in Mechelen, Belgium, to refocus on core business operations.

Core Development: Divesting Non-Core Assets to Optimize Global Capacity Layout

AUMOVIO plans to sell its brake systems factory in Mechelen, Belgium, to the Dumarey Group. The facility employs approximately 300 staff and specializes in ABS, ESC, and related electronic control units.

Key Facts: One of Six Global Brake Plants

The Mechelen plant has been operational since 1971, previously manufacturing the MK series of electronic brake systems. It produced its 25 millionth unit in 2014 and is recognized alongside facilities in Shanghai, Frankfurt, and three other locations as a core global production base.

Strategic Rationale: Continuing Post-Spinoff Business Focus Strategy

Following the transaction, AUMOVIO will retain all customer contracts, with production capacity gradually shifted to other sites; Dumarey will introduce new cross-industry business lines to revitalize the existing facility.
