Over 200,000 Audi Q2L Vehicles Recalled Due to C-Pillar Trim Panel Defect
[Product Recall] FAW-Volkswagen will recall 206,012 domestically produced Audi Q2L vehicles in batches starting from February 6, 2026. The affected models were manufactured between August 2018 and January 2025.
Key Issue: Structural Adhesive on C-Pillar Trim Panels Prone to Aging and Detachment
The structural adhesive bonding the inner and outer panels of the C-pillar trim may undergo hydrolytic aging under prolonged high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. In extreme cases, the outer panel could detach while driving, posing a risk to other road users.
Key Figures: Over 200,000 Vehicles Affected; Some Already Repaired and Exempt
This recall involves 206,012 Audi Q2L units. However, vehicles that have already received upgraded replacement parts do not require further action. The manufacturer will provide free replacement of the improved assembly through authorized dealers.
Industry Impact: Consecutive Recalls Spark Design Concerns
Following the recall of 24,613 Audi Q4 vehicles in January 2026 due to brake software issues, this latest incident has once again raised consumer concerns about the reliability of Audi’s localized components.
