Audi Unveils Nuvolari Hypercar: A 1,001 HP Plug-In Hybrid Limited to 499 Units

[New Model Launch] Audi has introduced the limited-production Nuvolari plug-in hybrid hypercar, with only 499 units to be built and deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2027.

Core Development: The Most Powerful Audi Production Car Ever

Named after legendary racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, the Nuvolari features a mid-engine layout and an all-new design language. Titanium paint finish and carbon fiber elements highlight its performance-oriented character. It is not a direct successor to the R8.

Key Specifications: 1,001 HP and 0–100 km/h in 2.6 Seconds

Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, revving up to 10,000 rpm—shared with the Lamborghini Temerario—and augmented by three axial-flux electric motors, the vehicle delivers a combined output of 1,001 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and exceeds a top speed of 350 km/h.

Strategic Foundation: Limited Exclusivity and Technological Flagship

Limited to just 499 units globally, the Nuvolari starts at €600,000 (approximately ¥4.68 million), underscoring Audi’s dual commitment to ultimate driving dynamics and brand heritage in the era of electrification.
